....

I'm freaking out so badly. I may not show it to the people around me, but my mind is racing. Schools nearly over in a matter of almost 12 weeks. I have my yearlies and HSC trials next term, my BOW of work is due in 5 weeks, I'm so stressed out about it. I can't study to save my life. I'll sit down with a pen and paper and try right down the stuff I need to remember but after about 30mins I can't do it anymore. I'm going to fail chemistry because my teacher is lazy and gets us to learn of youtube videos every lesson (like that's going to help with anything) and Im going to fail math.

We just had a take home test for math and I honestly could not finish it, I know I have done the stuff in class but I just am unable to do it. I feel really bad and horrible, I do not want to fail my HSC, considering I need to get at least 80 in all my subjects ( Mathematics 2 unit, Advanced English, Biology, Chemistry and Visual Arts) to get to both of the Universities I'm applying to that have the course I want to study.

I want to do a Bachelor of Fine Arts/Arts and instead of 4th year honours, Im going to be doing secondary teaching.
I also need to find a job.
It's I don't know How Im going to do any of this.

Outffit + new piercing

Yo, so I got my vertical labret pierced by Simon yesterday at HHWH in Liverpool. Even though he is just starting out he did a fantastic job with it. I got lost on the train on the way there and ended up catching 4 different trains just to get to my destination. Never have done that before, was quite fascinating. There was this really attractive person on one of the trains on the way back to Blacktown, and surprise surprise, facebook later that evenin suggests that exact same person to add as a friend, not sure if that kinda of creepy, or just plain weird. Anyway, this is just a simple post. I'll be updating through the week on how my BOW is coming because it's finally coming together and I will make one big post about it by the end of the week.

Adventure time

Tomorrow I'm going to be trekking all over Sydney in hopes of finding a formal dress cheap enough, in case I can't get the one online. I'm also going to get pierced by my friend Simon. He's new to the piercing world so I thought, what the hell, give him some skin to practice on. So I'll be heading good ol' Liverpool way sometime throughout the day. I'm stuck on piercing choices. I always do this, as soon as I have made up my mind I get a crazy idea in my head and leap in the world of the unknown. This is going to be the first 'BIG' adventure by myself, and I'm lustfully excited about it all.

Auctions!

New Jewellery/mirrored cabinet that I picked up at the auctions for $20 (retail is $300). If Anyone is interested in auctions in Sydney, Penrith city auctions is a fabulous auction house that you can pick great stuff up for a reasonable price, just google them and you can find out more information!

Medieval Fayre!

So today there was a Medieval Fayre in my hometown. Not to far from where I live, so me and the family went. It was quite good, and it seem the whole town plus everyone else decided to come as well, you can see in one of the photos of the crowd that was watching the jousting competition. I picked up two cute items, one is a leather bound handmade writing book for $10 (seen at the top) the other is a metal bat necklace that I scored for $6. Overall it was a pretty good day.

Wax flowers!!

Posted this on facebook already, but its needs to be here too.
It took me 5 whole hours to make these two flowers made from wax. They are extremely brittle and delicate, so I don’t know how I’m going to go about making them safe on my artwork when they get sent off in August for marking. I have another 17 of these babies to make, then to spray paint them with black enamel and finish them off with silver leafing around the petals’ edges. It really is time consuming, but in the long run will be so worth it.

Body of work will consist of:
  • 7-9 paintings
  • 15 ‘melting’ wax clocks ( including motors so that they work)
  • 17 of these flowers
  • 1 carved/scratched/embossed aluminum sheet.

School, school and more school. This is really tiring. Tomorrow I have a meeting discussing about what Scholarships I can get. I need to apply before the end of this month, some require a Portfolio on a CD so I have to figure out how I'm going to go about that. School has a strike Friday 1st and 2nd period, so that means no school for me, and I miss out on two hours of art practical work that should be used toward my BOW, but nope they have to take away my lessons. Next Friday I have no school either 'cause of some carnival; this means 4 hours of practical time  have gone down the drain and I have to somehow figure a way to make that up. Tomorrow I have an update on the wax works + paintings as a whole, because I would appreciate peoples opinions on the progress

Fun!

spray painting in the backyard is always fun. I'm only just starting my sculpture piece to my body of work. It needs to by painted black before I can start to jigsaw pieces of it out. I'm doing in at home because If I did it at school they would get the wood work class to do it for me cause 'I have no idea what I'm doing' pfffft I can do it on my own thankyou. My hands are slightly spotted because it windy as at the moment, beautiful Autumn weather to be outside soaking up the sun.

Paint that Im using is Galmet metal protection, it technically is a paint made for use on metal BUT I love how glossy the finishing touch is on wood, so I'm using it regardless.

Help me pick!!

Okay so my yr 12 graduation formal is in September and I need a dress, these are the two I have picked out, I'm leaning more towards the aqua coloured on the right but I want another persons opinion on which one I'm going to possibly choose.

First layer

First layer of BOW painting #3 out of 7. its looking good so far, what do you guys think of it?

Bell Shakespeare

Saw this at the Opera House today, was quite amazing. The interpretation that they did of it was kind of freaky and fantastic, but I'm still confused as to why they made the fight scene between Macbeth and Mcduff sound like they were fighting with lightsabers. Anywho It was enjoyable, they are brilliant with their productions.

Amazing

Todays outfit

Had to go to the shops to get some stuff for my mum. So this is what I wore. I hate how overly conservative and judgmental the people in my town can be. I actually got asked today if I even had a brain to wear this. It bewilders me how some people can't seem to see past the fact that not every person is the same. Anywho. I got some cool stuff aswell. Bought some hair clips, guitar picks and captive beads, that are a pain to get in my ears.

Omamori Himari (おまもりひまり)

Okay so from now on I've decided to make regular anime/ manga posts that I recommend are good to watch.
Omamori Himari
genre: Action, Comedy, Demons, Ecchi, Romance, Harem, Supernatural
This is a pretty good anime if your into those kinds of genres. Its exceptionally easy to follow and has a great story line. I'm not going to go into detail because when It comes to anime I think it should be left as a surprise.
The manga on the other hand I have not of yet read. I'm in the need to go to the comic book store to pick up a few manga titles to start and finish the collections I already own.

timetable

Got my end of the year examination timetable and Found two colleges and one University that I’m going to apply to to try and do a 3 year Bachelor in fine arts/arts with a 4th year secondary teaching diploma. Trying to find suitable scholarships to apply for. Hopefully I can go to the college of fine arts (COFA) and exchange study one semester at Berlin University of the arts (Germany). All these application processes are so confusing :(
